A1. INFOTRONIC BOARD'S INSTALLATION PROCEDURE for WINDOWS 2000
==============================================================

After having installed Microsoft Windows 2000 in VGA mode (640x480),
power down the computer and insert the Infotronic graphic board in
any PCI slot. Then follows the below suggested procedure.

NOTE 1: If the PC includes a graphics chipset on motherboard, the
Windows 2000 Plug&Play could detect it and could install
automatically the driver for it. If this happens, let the
system accomplish the installation for the native chipset,
then wait for a while before the messages described at
        point 1 are shown.

NOTE 2. In some rare cases the presence of previously installed graphics
controller on the AGP or on the PCI bus of specific computers can
disable the Infotronic Quasar board. It is possible to fix the
problem moving the dip switch 1 on the Quasar board, which is by
        default ON, to OFF.

NOTE 3. In some cases when using specific computers with graphics chipset
on motherboard, the Installation Wizard is not displayed on the
Infotronic VGA, but only on the native VGA. In fact the Infotronic
VGA will stop displaying the Windows 2000 boot, but the latter
continues on the native graphics. In order to accomplish the above
described procedure, it is required to temporarily connect the
display monitor to the native graphics. After executing the
installation procedure and a shutdown/restart, reconnect the
display monitor to the Infotronic board.

1. When booting Windows 2000 the Installation Wizard will automatically
start displaying the following messages :

      Found New Hardware Wizard
Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard
	..........
The wizard helps you install a device driver for a hardware device

	To continue, click Next.

2. After clicking Next, the following message will appear:

                               and a JUPITER board)
? PCI Device (this message occurs only for a ONIX board)
