Manual install of the V.90 Code for the MobileSurfr After running the V.90 Flash Code for the 56k MobileSurfr and the program doesn’t find the modem do the following. A. Go to Start, Programs , Accessories, Hyperterminal. Now that you are in HyperTerminal click on Hypertrm or Hypertrm.exe. Next it will say Enter a name and choose an icon for connection, here type "test" in the Name block and then click on OK. Another screen will pop up and here all you want to type in the telephone number block "12345" and make sure that in the Connect Using field that the MobileSurfr is listed. Now click on OK. In the next screen click on Cancel and you should be in a white screen with a black flashing cursor. B. Type "AT" and hit the Enter key and it should respond with an "OK" message back. IF it doesn’t then the Modem is not installed right and will need to be reinstalled at this point you will need to follow the reinstall procedure. Next type "ATI3" and this should give you the rev of the 56K MobileSurfr. Now you will type the following command "AT**" and hit the enter type . The response message from the modem will be that it is looking for the flash code. C. Now click on Transfer and select Send Text File. In the LOOK in Box click on the down arrow and select the C: . Now choose the folder where you extracted this file to and double click on it . Next double click on the Mobile folder . In the Files of Type box select All Files(*.*) and you will see the Motflash.S37 file and Highlight this file and click on Open. This will send the first part of the flasher code to the modem. After this code is download the modem will ask for the next part of the code, repeat the transfer process again but this time select the file Unco56c.Hex . The modem will respond with the following message "Download is complete". D. Now close and save this terminal session. Reopen the Test Icon and the select cancel . Type AT^I and the modem will respond will the flash code. Close all program and reinstall the MobileSurfr 56K with the new inf file that will enable the cellular protocol.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
