News for 2.30
Edited By Dennis Slagers
Version 2.30 is a major new release with a lot of new functionality
which we will describe.
For more the history see below the notes for version 2.30.

For Windows NT systems, the Dynalink drivers supports multi-processor platform,
this is not longer beta anymore. It can benefit the powerful users running
Dynalink's IS64PH / IS64PH-An internal cards on the multi-processors NT
system. Alpha systems do not run.

There are several new and innovative features provided in for Windows 3.1,
Windows 95 and 98 systems. More easy installation, and control your time and
costs.

1. For Win95/Win98, the Multilink PPP (128K) is being accessed through our
virtual modem (Dynalink Internet MLPPP modem). The customer does not need
to install the MSISDN 1.1 (Microsoft ISDN Accelerator Pack 1.1) or DUN 1.2
(Dialup Networking version 1.2) for adding the secondary device to achieve
   the 128K Internet Access.

2. In the Win95/98 systems, the Multilink PPP+BOD (Bandwith on Demand) (128K)
does also not need MSISDN 1.1. or DUN 1.2. In this case it has even the
Bandwith-on-Demand function. This means that the bandwith (64K or 128K)
will be depend on the data traffic and incoming/outgoing voice call. In the
beginning stage, it will establish 1 B Data Channel (64K) and will only
add a second B Data Channel when the data traffic is going over the
specified value (refer to ATS53=x). (only when there is a second channel
   available).
Once it is in ML-PPP mode (128K) it can drop 1 B channel based on three
   conditions.
	a. The average data traffic is lower thatn the value (ATS53=x) in
           a specific time period (ATS54=x).
        b. The customer wants to make a outgoing voice call such as picking
           up the handset (IS64PH-AN).
        c. There is an incoming voice call, the analog telephone device will
           have a ring signal.

With this BOD function, you will have more flexibility to handle voice and
data simultaneously.
Important: this will only work when you have an extra service activated at
your local PTT. For Dutch customers: they call it:
'Dienst Wisselgesprek/Bereikbaarheid'. You have to ask for it for 'ALL MSN's'.

3. In this driver we provide als PPP, ML-PPP and BOD over X.75 Protocol
functions. If your ISP or RAS server provides these kind of function,
please select the virtual modem from the modem INF file which we provide.
Then it is more easy to configure and make a connection with your ISP
   or RAS server.

4. Inactivity Setting
In this driver we provide the ATS30=n command. This tells the driver to
disconnect the active connection automatically if there is no data
   traffic for x * 10 seconds

How to configure the ISDN driver for the above mentioned functions?

1. First you have to install the modem driver to the COM5 or COM6 which
are available. In the total list you see a number of modems which you
can select. Select the one which meets your ISP or RAS server requirements
and select the ISDN comport to use with this modem.
