With the miroMEDIA Remote, miro offers an ergonomically shaped 
infrared Remote control for controlling miro's miroMEDIA Manager 
user interface. 
 
With Windows 95, the Remote control can be used to navigate the 
desktop as an extension of the mouse. 

Installing the miroMEDIA Remote drivers under Windows 95

In Windows 95, the miroMEDIA Remote must be set up as a new 
hardware component with the help of the hardware assistant. 

To do this, proceed as follows:
1.  Double-click My Computer.
2.  Double-click Control Panel.
3.  Double-click Mouse.
4.  Click on General.
5.  Click Change.
6.  Click Have Disk... to specify the drive from which you want to 
      install the miro drivers: the default drive is a:\. If the 
     drivers are on a different drive, use Browse to switch to this 
     drive and the appropriate directory.
     Installing drivers from the CD:
     The driver is located in the D:\DISKSETS\REMOTE directory where
     D is the drive letter of your CD-ROM drive.
7.   Click on OK.
8.   Click on OK.
9.   Click on OK, now the drivers are being copied.
10. Click on Close. After the system restart miroMEDIA Remote
      is operational.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
