Introduction:
-------------
This document describes the procedure to install driver for Realtek
RTL8019 Plug&Play ethernet adapter on Windows 98.
Location of Driver: \WIN98\PNPNT.SYS
Installing driver procedure on Microsoft Windows 98 :
-----------------------------------------------------
Windows 98 is the operation system with Plug&Play feature. If you set
the adapter in Plug&Play mode, Windows 98 will auto-detect your
adapter configuration and set it. The user don't need to do anything
for the adapter configuration or installing the driver. If you set
the network card in jumpless mode, you must setup your driver as
following procedure by manual.
1. When log into Windows 98, click on the "Start" icon ,then move the
mouse to "Settings" icon and click on the "Control Panel".
2. In the Control Panel window, click on the "Network" icon.
3. In the Network Configuration dialog box, choose the "Add.." button.
"Select Network Component Type" dialog box appears, and select
"Adapter" icon.
4. In the list of Manufacturers, select "Realtek", and then choose the
"OK" button.
5. Then, you will see "Realtek RTL8019 PnP LAN adapter or compatible"
in the Network Configuration dialog box, select it and then click
on the "Properties" button.
6. In this dialog box, select "Resources",the screen will come up with
settings: IRQ and I/O address. Make sure the values that come up
match the actual board settings.
7. Restarting your system you will acquire network service.
Update the newer driver from driver disk :

1. Activate the "Control Panel" from the "Settings" of "Start"
menu.
2. Double click the "System" in "Control Panel".
3. Choose the "Device Manager" from "System Properties" menu.
4. Double click the "Realtek RTL8019 PnP LAN adapter or compatible"
from "Network Adapters".
5. Choose "Driver" in "Realtek RTL8019 PnP LAN adapter or compatible
Properties"
6. Click the "Update Driver.." button.
7. Select the "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific
location, ....." option.
8. Click "Have Disk", then insert driver disk into drive A: and type
"A:\WIN98" in the "Install From Disk" menu.
9. Follow the update device driver wizard menus to update the
driver.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
