      for LG MONITOR'S INFORMATION

CONTENTS

 The LGMNT.INF (INF) file :
     The INF designaties software and defines LG Monitor resource used by 
     Windows95,98 to ensure LG Monitor compatibility with your computer's
     Video Graphic Adaptor (VGA).     
  
 The Image Color Matching (ICM) file :
     The ICM file is used in conjunction with graphic programs that provide color 
     matching consistency from monitor screen to printer.
     The ICM file is actived from within the graphics programs that have this feature.    


 LGMNT.ZIP : includes the information for LG's Monitors

INSTALLATION
---------------
 
(1) First, determine which version of Microsoft Windows95 is 
     installed on your computer:
  
     1. Right-click your mouse on the My Computer icon and click 
         Properties. 
     2. One of your following Microsoft Windows version will be listed;
         use the correct install procedures listed below and on the next 
         page for your version:

         * Microsoft Windows 95 4.00.950
            (standard Windows 95 installation) 
         * Microsoft Windows 95 4.00.950 A
            (standard Windows 95 installation with Service Pack 1: OSR 1 )
         * Microsoft Windows 95 4.00.950 B
            (Windows95 OEM Service Pack 2 installation : OSR 2 ) 
         * Microsoft Windows 98 

(2) Windows95 & 95A (OSR1)  
   
      First download the LGMNT.ZIP & save to your disk &extract it.

   1. Click Start -> Setting -> Control Panel 
   2. Double -click the Display icon. 
   3. Click the Setting tab, then click Change Display Type.
   4. Under Monitor Type, Click Change-> Have Disk.
   5. Select  INF/ICM file in disk 
   6. Under Model list, select your LG Monitor, then click OK. 
   7. The monitor files are copied to the hard drive. 
   8. Click OK -> Close to save the settings.  
   9. Click Yes when prompted to accept the new refresh settings.

 
(3) Windows95B (OSR2)  

      First download the LGMNT.ZIP & save to your disk &extract it.

   1. Click Start -> Setting -> Control Panel 
   2. Double -click the Display icon. 
   3. Click the Setting tab, then click Advanced Properties.
   4. Select  Monitor tab, Click Change-> Have Disk.
   5. Select  INF/ICM file in disk 
   6. Under Model list, select your LG Monitor, then click OK. 
   7. The monitor files are copied to the hard drive. 
   8. Click OK -> Close to save the settings.  
   9. Click Yes when prompted to accept the new refresh settings.

(4) Windows98 

     First download the LGMNT.ZIP & save to your disk &extract it.


   1. Click Start -> Setting -> Control Panel 
   2. Double -click the Display icon. 
   3. Click the Setting tab, then click Advanced... 
   4. Select  Monitor tab, Click Change->
      Display a list of all the drivers in specific location...-> Have Disk.
   5. Select  INF/ICM file in disk 
   6. Under Model list, select your LG Monitor, then click OK. 
   7. The monitor files are copied to the hard drive. 
   8. Click OK -> Close to save the settings.  
   9. Click Yes when prompted to accept the new refresh settings.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
