When using the Notepad, to wrap the text to the window size, click on Word Wrap from Format or Edit menu of the Notepad.
Note: A check mark will appear when word wrap is turned on.
Wrapping text enables you to see all the text on the line, but it doesn't affect the way text appears when it is printed.

2. You may use the Software only in the country of your purchase and only for the purpose of using the hardware of Murata and other companies approved by Murata (hereinafter "OEM Companies").
3. You may use the Software only in compliance with notices and restrictions written in "Installation Manual" and other documents contained in this package.
4. You must not modify, alter all or any part of the Software. You must not make any attempt to discover the source code of the Software by any method including reverse-engineering, de-compiling, or de-assembling.
5. You must not sell, transfer, rent, lease or sublicense the Software to any third party by transmitting the software via phone-line or network, or by copying the software to floppy disk, CD-ROM, magnetic data tape or any other media.

III. HOW TO INSTALL

HOW TO INSTALL THE DRIVERS AND MANUALS TO YOUR COMPUTER
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Install the printer driver and scanner driver form the "Install menu".
The manuals can also be setup from "Install menu".
* To read the manuals, you need the "Acrobat Reader" installed on your computer. "Acrobat Reader" can be installed from the Setup Disk.
Inserting the Setup Disk to the CD-ROM drive will start the install menu automatically.
However if the install menu won't start automatically, follow the steps bellow:
1.Click Run from Start menu.
2. Enter "(CD Drive name):\setup.exe" for name and then click OK.
"Setup.exe" can be specified by searching for the root directory on setup disk after pressing Browse.
Refer to the Setup Manual how to install printer driver and scanner driver.
Refer to the User Manual how to use your MFX-1430 as a printer or a scanner.

This TWAIN Driver Software is a local TWAIN Driver subjected for Muratec MFX-1430.
This Printer Driver Software is a local or networks Printer Driver subjected for Muratec MFX-1430.
The device name for local connected scanner is "Muratec MFX-1430 Scanner".
The device name for local or network connected printer is "Muratec MFX-1430".
This TWAIN Driver enables TWAIN supporting software such as "Imaging for Windows" to scan images from MFX-1430.
This Printer Driver enables applications such as "Notepad" to print out on MFX-1430.

LIMITATION OF PRINTING WITH TWAIN FOR LOCAL CONNECTED TWAIN DRIVER SOFTWARE

While using local connected printer or scanner with the USB interface, you cannot use the scanner while printing or the printer while scanning.

LIMITATION OF APPLICATION NOT SUPPORTING MULTIPLE PAGES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scanning multiple pages may only scan the first page.
In this case, scan the pages one by one.

USERS FOR KODAK IMAGING FOR WINDOWS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There may be a rare case that the scanned image will be displayed solid black.
In this case, set the "Scale to Gray" in "View" menu to "On", or save the image. This may help the image to be displayed in normal condition.

USERS FOR MICROSOFT OFFICE 2000 (WORD / EXCEL / POWERPOINT / PHOTO EDITOR)

In case of "Fixed image size" is set to "Off", scanning multiple documents using the ADF may only scan the first page.
In this case, set "Fixed image size" to "On"

USERS FOR WINDOWS NT 4.0

Imaging (Imaging For Windows) attached on Windows NT 4.0 is not available on TWAIN driver software.

VII. LIMITATION OF PRINTER DRIVER SOFTWARE

ABOUT THE SORTING FUNCTION
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sorting print can be specified in this driver.
If "Collate" is specified by the print dialog of the application such as Microsoft Word 7.0, the print result might become abnormal though the "Sort" in the "Paper" tab of the printer driver is turned on.
In this case, turn off the "Collate" in the print dialog of the application.

ABOUT THE COMBINE FUNCTION
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The combine print can be specified in this driver.
The combine print is a function that prints two or more pages on one paper. You can select the number of pages that should be printed on one paper from two, four, or eight.
If "Collate" is specified by the print dialog of the application, the combine print result might become abnormal.
In this case, turn off the "Collate" in the print dialog of the application.

USERS FOR MICROSOFT EXCEL

If the "Print to File" dialog box appears while you are printing a file from Microsoft Excel,
please confirm the printer port settings. When the "Print to File" dialog box appears
although the setting is correct, please restart your Windows.

VIII. OTHER LIMITATIONS

CONNECTING LOCALLY AND USING THE POWER SAVING FEATURE(STANDBY)

When you are using the power saving feature (standby) on your computer, start to use the computer again and then reconnect the USB cable to the MFX-1430.

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
