WINDOWS 98 ReadMe 

USB 2.0 IDE DRIVE CONTROLLER ("KAZAN")

The Lava USB 2.0 IDE Controller installed in the Kazan drive
enclosure [USB Lava Kazan Storage Adapter V3 (TPP)] will work
attached to a USB 1.1 port in Windows 98. 

When the drive is attached to the USB 1.1. port, 
Windows will detect it and start the New Hardware 
wizard. When asked, specify the location 
           a:\Kazan\win98 
as the location of files for this device.

NOTE: In Windows 98, the Lava USB 2.0 IDE Controller will
work with drives partitioned with a FAT16 or FAT 32 partition.
Drives formatted with NTFS partitioning will not be readable.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
