(2)How to add SiS900 LAN driver into Windows 2000 image on RIS server.

1.Goto RIS image directory(ex f:\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\win2000.pro\i386\).
2.Copy sisnic.sys and netsis.inf into this directory.
3.Add "sisnic.sys" into the following files. 
  drvindex.inf
  layout.inf
  txtsetup.sif
  
4.Add "netsis.inf" into the following files.
  basicsv.inf
  basicwk.inf
  defltsv.inf
  defltwk.inf
  dosnet.inf
  dsup.inf
  dsupt.inf
  dwup.inf
  layout.inf
  netrtsnt.inf
  ocfiless.inf
  ocfilesw.inf
  syscomp.inf
  txtsetup.sif
  
5.Remember to record the size of files in layout.inf.
  a. sisnic.sys=1,,(size),,,,,,3,3
  b. netsis.inf=1,,(size),,,,,20,0,0

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
