Requirements
---------------
1. Windows 2000 Build 2000 or later
2. Appian Graphics Jeronimo 2 multi-headed board (w/Cirrus 5462/5465 chips).
This includes the J2N model and J2SB models.

Installation
--------------
There are two methods for installing the Jeronimo 2 drivers on
Windows 2000. The methods differ based on whether you installed
the Jeronimo 2 board before or after installing Windows 2000.

Method 1 - Jeronimo 2 board installed before Windows 2000 installed
====================================================================
Since the Jeronimo 2 board was in the computer when you installed
Win2000, it installed the standard Cirrus Logic Laguna 546X driver
in a multi-monitor arrangement. The standard Cirrus Laguna driver
will NOT work correctly on the second screen of the Jeronimo 2 board.

Follow these steps to install the Jeronimo 2 driver:
1. Right click on desktop and select Properties
2. From Display Properties select the Settings tab
3. You should see 2 boxes labeled 1 and 2. Select 1.
4. Press the Advanced... button
5. Select the Adapter tab.
6. Press the Properties button.
7. Select Driver tab.
8. Press the Update Driver... button, this brings up Upgrade Device Wizard.
9. Select "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can
choose a specific driver" and then press Next.
10. Press the Have Disk... button and select the drive that the Jeronimo disk.
11. Select Appian Graphics Jeronimo 2 and press Next.
12. At this point you will get a warning titled "Digital Signature Not Found",
select Yes that you want to continue installation, and press Finish.

At this point you are asked if you want to restart your computer,
select NO, then close all of the Properties windows. We did not
restart the computer so we can install the driver for the second
chip on the Jeronimo 2 board.

13. Repeat steps 1 through 12 except on step 3 select monitor 2.
14. Upon completion of the installation of the second monitor driver,
    restart Windows 2000.

Method 2 - Jeronimo 2 board installed after Windows 2000 was installed.
=======================================================================
When you insert the Jeronimo board and start Windows 2000 again, the
Plug and Play manager in Win2000 will bring up the "Found New Hardware
Wizard" and it will have "Cirrus Logic Laguna 5462" displayed. At this
point follow the instructions below to install the Jeronimo 2 drivers:

1. Select "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can
choose a specific driver" and then press Next.
2. Press the Have Disk... button and select the drive that the Jeronimo disk.
3. Select Appian Graphics Jeronimo 2 and press Next.
4. At this point you will get a warning titled "Digital Signature Not Found",
select Yes that you want to continue installation, and press Finish.

At this point the "Found New Hardware Wizard" comes up again. This
time the text displayed is Appian Graphics Jeronimo 2.

5. Select "Search for suitable driver for my device" and press Next.
6. You will get the "Digital Signature Not Found" warning again, press Yes.
7 . Upon completion of the installation of the second monitor driver,
    restart Windows 2000.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enabling the second screen on the Jeronimo 2 board.
===================================================
After the driver has been installed for both screens as described above,
and after Windows 2000 has been restarted, you can enable the second
screen and extend the Windows 2000 desktop onto it. Follow these steps:

1. Right click on desktop and select Properties
2. From Display Properties select the Settings tab
3. You should see 2 boxes labeled 1 and 2. Select 2.
4. Check the box labeled "Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor"
5. Press the Apply button, and now you should see the Windows desktop
be extended onto the second screen.
