1) How to Install Jeronimo Pro Windows 98 Drivers
===============================================================
To install downloaded Jeronimo Pro drivers for Windows 98, please make a copy of your
driver disk and perform the following steps. If you are installing Jeronimo Pro drivers for
Windows 98 from CD-ROM, substitute the location of your CD-ROM drive and
Windows 98 drivers where applicable. These installation instructions are for Jeronimo
Pro Windows 98 drivers only. HydraVision 98 multiple monitor desktop management
software is available separately from Appian Graphics for Windows 98 and can be
downloaded from the Appian Web site.

(a) Unzip the downloaded driver file to a floppy disk with a utility such as Winzip
(available at www.winzip.com). This floppy disk will be your Jeronimo Pro installation
disk.

(b) Insert the installation disk into your floppy disk drive.

(c) From the Start button on the taskbar, select Settings and then select Control Panel.
The Control Panel window appears.

(d) Double click on the Display icon.

(e) Select the Settings tab page and click the Advanced button. The Video Properties
window appears.

(f) Select the Adapter tab page and click the Change button. The Update Device Driver
Wizard window appears.

(g) Select Next. Make sure that the option "Display a list of all drivers in a specific
location, so you can select the driver you want" is selected.

(h) Select Next and click the Have Disk button.

(i) The Install from Disk dialog box appears. Make sure the Windows 98 Jeronimo Pro
installation disk is in the appropriate floppy drive and select its location.

(j) Click OK. The Select Device dialog box appears with the Jeronimo Pro Windows 98
driver selected.

(k) Select OK. You are returned to the Update Device Driver Wizard and informed that
Windows is ready to install the Jeronimo Pro driver.

(l) Select Next. A dialog box appears informing you that the driver files are being copied,
followed by a message stating that Windows has completed the install for the video
device.

(m) Select Finish. You are returned to the Adapter tab page. Select Apply. You are
returned to the Display Properties Control Panel. Select Close.

(n) You are prompted to restart the computer. Select Yes and allow the computer to
restart. Windows 98 now restarts in 640 x 480 single monitor mode. You can change this
and other settings using the Display Properties Control Panel. Please refer to your
Microsoft Windows 98 documentation for more information about Display Property
controls for multiple monitors.

3) How to Uninstall Jeronimo Pro Windows 98 Drivers
================================================================
To uninstall Jeronimo Pro drivers under Windows 98, use the Windows Add/Remove
programs control panel utility.

4) Machine Compatibility
================================================================
Some machines do not completely power down when they restart after installing the
Jeronimo Pro drivers. This can cause the driver to fail to load. Appian recommends that
you "Shut Down" the machine after installing the Jeronimo Pro drivers rather than use the
restart option provided by Windows 98.

5) HydraVision 98 Desktop Management Support
================================================================
Under Windows 98, Appian HydraVision desktop management software is installed
separately from the Jeronimo Pro driver. This new version of HydraVision for Windows
98 and Windows 2000 is called HydraVision 98. To install HydraVision 98, please
download the software from the Appian Graphics FTP site or refer to the Jeronimo Pro
CD-ROM and install per the instructions in that package.
