Altec Lansing Technologies, Inc., Windows 98 Audio Management Software Installation.

1. Download the Audio Management Software from the
Altec Lansing Technologies, Inc. Web site www.altecmm.com.
2. Locate and double click the AMS24.EXE file downloaded in step 1.
3. Choose a folder to save the uncompressed files in, such as
C:\Windows\Temp (The default).
4. CLick Unzip.
5. A message that 22 file(s) unzipped successfully should be displayed.
6. Click Ok.
7. Click Close.
8. Connect the USB Cable.
9. The New Hardware Found Message is displayed.
10. The Add New Hardware Wizard should start and display a
message stating This Wizard Searches for new drivers for an USB Audio Device.
11. Click Next.
12. The Add New Hardware Wizard displays a message asking, What do you want
Windows to do ?
13. Select the Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location,
so you can select the driver you want option.
14. Click Next
15. Click Have Disk.
16. The Install from disk dialog is displayed.
17. Click Browse.
18. Browse to the folder in which you decompressed the files to in step #3.
19. Browse to Drivers\Win98.
20. Click Ok.
21. Click Ok.
22. When the Select Device dialog is displayed select the Alrec Lansing Multimedia
USB SPeakers - ADA305.
23. Click Ok.
24. The Add New Hardware WIzard displays a message that Windows driver file search
for device found the Altec Lansing Multimedia Speakers - ADA305 driver, and that
Windows is now ready...
25. Click Next.
26. Add New Hardware Wizard displays a message stating that Windows has finished
the Altec Lansing Multimedia USB Speakers - ADA305 driver installation.
27. Click Finish.
28. Driver Installation is complete.
29. Locate and double click the Setup.exe file located in the folder in which you
decompressed the files to in step #3.
30. Follow the on screen prompts.
31. The Audio Managent Software installation is now complete.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
