1. Login as root user. (On maintenance mode)

2. Put Accton EN1208 SCO UNIX Driver diskette to floppy A: and use doscp
       command to copy EN1208 SCO UNIX PCI Driver into UNIX's directories.

       # cd /
       # doscp A:/sco/setup /setup
       # chmod +x /setup
       # ./setup

       # cd /pci
       # ./install

4. Do you wish to install or delete the Accton EN1208 driver (i/d/q)   type 'i'

5. Do you want to install another Accton EN1208 board ? (y/n/q) 	type 'n'

6. Enter IP Address :	     (For example : 192.72.24.174)

7. Enter broadcast address [192.72.24.255] :

8. Enter netmask		 (default 255.255.255.0)

9. Do you want to (I)nstall , (R)evise or (S)kip the
   pci0 driver IP configuration ? (i,r,s)			  type 'i'

10. Do you want to relink to kernel now ?	       'y'

11. Do you want to reboot now ? (y/n/q) 	       'y'

12. Shutdown started.

    Do you want to continue ? (y or n): 	       'y'

13. ... a sequence of shutdown process, then the sign

    **** Safe to Power off   *****
	      - or -
    *** Press Any Key to Reboot ****		 (Press any key)

14. Boot :					  (Press 'enter' key)

15. The following lines should appear on the screen :

    %ethernet 0x6000-0x601F   10  - type=Accton EN1208 PCI Ethernet Adapter

16. Type CONTROL-d to proceed with normal startup,
    (or give root password for system maintenance):	(CONTROL-d)

17. After the process of 'Starting TCP/IP: .....',
    the network adapter is initiated.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
