             Microsoft Windows 2000 Driver Installation

Windows 2000 provides a complete "Plug and Play" System that
automatically recognizes and configures EN2216/2316.

Before installing the EN2216/2316 adapter, Windows 2000's PCMCIA
service must be installed and enabled. This service can be started
in the Control Panel.

Driver Installation Steps for Windows 2000:

1) Insert the EN2216 or EN2316 adapter in a PCMCIA slot.

2) "Welcome to the new hardware found wizard" Window appears. Click the "Next" button.

3) Hardware Wizard displays the message "The wizard will complete the installation
for this device ACCTON-EN2216-PCMCIA-Ethernet". Click "search for a suitable driver
for my device", and click the "Next" button.

4) Inser the EN2216/2316 driver disk in drive A:\. Click the "Specify a location"
selection, and click the "Next" button.

5) Enter "A:\WIN2000" for the location of the EN2216/2316 driver. Click "Yes".

6) When the Hardware Wizard confirms it has found the driver in
"A:\win2000\net2216.inf", click "Next".

7) When the system displays a message about the digital signing, and asks you if you want to
continue installation, click "Yes".

8) Windows displays the message 'Windows has finished installing the driver".
   Click "Finish".

9) The driver should be now up and running.

Note:

When Windows 2000 and the Network is up and running, it is not
recommended to remove the EN2216/2316 adapter from the
PCMCIA slot without telling the system first. Before you remove
the adapter, please follow these steps:

      1) Double click on the My Computer icon, and then double click on
         the Control Panel icon.
      2) Double click on the PCMCIA icon. The "PC Card (PCMCIA) Properties"
         window appears.
      3) Select "Accton EN2216/2316 PCMCIA Ethernet Adapter" from
the list, and then click the Stop button.
      4) Wait until the message box with the "You may safely remove the
         device" message appears. Click OK.
      5) Remove the EN2216/2316 adapter from the PCMCIA slot.

If you do not follow these steps and just pull the adapter from
the PCMCIA slot, the system may hang and you have to reboot the
   system.
