PC System Requirements:
1) divio PCam Evaluation board.
2) USB Port
3) Windows 98
4) AMD K6 CPU or Intel Pentium 200MHz or above CPU.
5) Divio NW801 Installation Disk

What we support in this version:
1) Demo application using DirectShow.
2) Divio Customized property page(PCAM Color Page) for DirectShow App.
3) Standard property page(Video Proc Amp)for VfW App.
4) TWAIN interface.
5) decoder dll for our proprietary codec algorithm(JPGL).

Device first-time plug-in Procedure:
1) Plug divio PCam Evaluation board to USB Port in PC. There will be "Find 
   New Hardware" message. Click "Next".
2) Check "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location...",
   then Click "Next".
3) Check "Specify a location" and browse it to the directory you assigned in
   Installation Procedure. (Default is "C:\Program Files\Divio Inc\Divio NW801 PCAM driver")
   Click "Next".
4) Add New Hardware Wizard will find device "Divio - NW801 PC Camera Capture"
   Click "Next".
5) Browse directory to \Nw801 to Copy drivers to system. Click "OK".
6) Click "Finish".

Usage of "NW801 Demo App":
1) Double click Icon "NW801 Demo App" in Desktop to launch the application.
2) Click Menu "Devices", choose "Divio - NW801 PC Camera Capture". If you 
   cannot see any image, please close it and repeat 1).
3) If there is no image or wrong image, click Menu "Device Test", choose 
   "ColorBar" to test the chip. If there is a color bar, there may be some 
   errors in USB transmission. If there is still no image or wrong image, 
   there may be some errors in Board level or driver level.
4) If the image is not in right color(e.g. too red, too green etc...), click 
   Menu "Options", choose "Video Capture Filter". Face the camera to a white 
   paper or white wall, then choose tab "PCAM color" and click "Auto" checkbox 
   in "White Balance" Group to do Auto-whitebalancing. 
5) Click Menu "Options", choose "Video Preview Pin". Change the size to 640x480.
6) Click Menu "Options", choose "Video Capture Pin". Change the size to 640x480.
7) Click Menu "Options", choose "Video Capture Filter". Choose tab "PCAM color" 
   and you can do some basic adjustment.
8) If you need fine-tuning the image processing parameters in NW801. Click Menu 
   "Options", choose "Nw801 Register". You can use the register editor to change 
   the register value of NW801. For detail register value information, please 
   see the NW801 data sheet.
9) Click Menu "Capture", choose "StartCapture" and assign the destination file to 
   capture video into AVI file. choose "StopCapture" when you want to stop.

Note:
1) If you want to change the image size, you must change both "Video Preview Pin"
   and "Video Capture Pin".
2) In "PCam Color" Page, if you need to modify "Contrast" bar, please uncheck "Auto
   Exposure" first.
3) In "PCam Color" Page, "Brightness" bar cannot work while you uncheck "Auto
   Exposure" check box
4) In Capture mode, size 640x480 and 352x288 cannot work. We will fix it in the 
   next version.
5) In Preview mode, size 160x120 and 176x144 we always assume real-time frame rate
   (i.e. the frame rate in "Video Preview Pin" is not adjustable.)

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
