How to install the Zoltrix Modem driver for the FMHSP56PCI QUICK INSTRUCTIONS 1. Remove the existing HSP modem from the Control Panel. 2. Restart Win95/98 and install the new HSP modem driver from the driver disk when prompted. 3. Install the new modem driver. 4. Restart Win95/98. REMOVING THE EXISTING MODEM DRIVER You should use the first method first as this utility program provided by PCtel, not only removes the modem driver, but completely removes all the modem entries in the Windows registry. 1. Double click on the "HSP Modem" ICON in the Control Panel. 2. Click on the "Uninstall" button. 3. Click on the "OK" button to confirm the uninstallation. 4. Click on the "OK" button again when informed that the "HSP Modem is removed successfully!" or to manually remove the drivers: 1. Double click on the "System" ICON in the Control Panel. 2. Click on the "Device Manager" Tab. 3. Double click on "Modem". 4. Click on "HSP 56 DELUXE MODEM". 5. Click on the "Remove" button. 6. Click on the "OK" button to verify that you want to remove the modem driver. Now that the old drivers are removed, you can install the new drivers per the instructions found in the manual. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
