Description of the Application

Much like virus protection software, BIOSGuard is a BIOS backup utility
used on Matrox cards, which is designed to periodically refresh the bios
with a known good BIOS. BiosGuard is designed to re-flash the BIOS once
per week, at 3:00 AM if the system is left running over night, or at
boot-time if the system was shut down. It runs in the background and is
transparent to the user.

The setup program (InstallShield) installs the application for Win9x and NT.
The user will need to reboot the computer for BiosGuard to become active.

Uninstall Procedure

1) Edit the Windows registry with the REGEDIT program. In the registry:
a) Delete the Registry Key : HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Matrox\BIOSGuard
b) HKey_Local_Machine\software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run delete
the "Bguard.exe" entry.
2) Press Ctrl-Alt-Del (choose Task Manager in Winnt) and choose to end the
bguard task.
3) Delete BGuard.* from the \windows\system directory (Win9x) or the
\Winnt\system32 directory (Winnt).
