	How to Install the Zoltrix Phantom 56K FMHSP56PCI(PCtel HSP Modem) on Windows NT Workstation 4.0

i. Modem installation

    1. Run the SETUP.EXE program included with the drivers. 

    2. Click the Next button

    3. Click the Next button

    4. Type the complete path where the drivers are located or click on the Browse button to locate the drivers.

    5. Click the OK button when the screen showing the Zoltrix model is displayed. You will now see files copied.

    6. Click on the OK button when informed that you will need to reboot.

    7. Click on the Finish button when the final screen showing the modem was installed to reboot the computer.

    
ii. Uninstall the Zoltrix Phantom 56K FMHSP56PCI(PCtel HSP Modem)

    1. Go to "Control Panel" and click on "PCtel Port" CPL.

    2. Click on "Uninstall" button.

    3. Answer "Yes" to the modem you want to delete.

    4. Go to the "Windows NT/Inf" directory. Delete the OEM*.INF and 
OEM*.PNF files the Pctel modem used.
    
    5. Restart the computer. 

Note:
    If Windows NT does not copy files during the installation, please
goto "Windows NT/Inf" directory and delete unused "oem*.inf" and "oem*.pnf"
files, then try again.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
