TDK INF 5600 PATCH ------------------ Instructions 1. Copy the inf file TDK5600.inf into the c:\windows\inf\ directory of your hard drive. If a file with the same name exists, overwrite it. 2. With the TDK 5600 inserted in your laptop computer, in the Modem Control Panel, remove all references of the TDK modem, even if it installed as a "Standard PCMCIA Modem." To do this, select the modem by clicking on it once, then click the Remove button. 3. Eject the modem from your laptop computer and wait a few seconds. 4. Re-insert the modem into your laptop computer. Windows95 will recognize New Hardware Found and build the driver information database. 5. Check the Modem Control Panel to be certain the modem is installed as the TDK 5600 modem. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
