ADVANCD CD-ROM Driver ===================== ADVANCD.SYS is a Ggeneric CD-ROM driver for DOS/WINDOWS operating system. For automatic installations, issue the following commands DOS a:\install WINDOWS 3.1 and Windows for Workgroup 3.11 run a:\dos\setup The above programs will automatically insert these statements DEVICE=C:\path\ADVANCD.SYS in CONFIG.SYS and MSCDEX.EXE /D:ADVCD0 in AUTOEXEC.BAT The ADVANCD.SYS will accept the /P, /L and /D:name parameters. while /P Pause after driver load. /L Specifies that ADAVNCD should scan for logical units. (By default, logical units are not scanned) /D:name Specifies the device name given the driver in your CONFIG.SYS file for use with your CD-ROM interface software. (The default device name is ADVCD0, which will apply to all connected CD-ROM drives.) After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
