Reboot your machine now. II.2 After starting Windows 9x (with your installed miroHISCORE² board) the automatic hardware detection will find a new PCI multimedia device and shows you the 'Update driver wizard' dialog. II.3 Insert your miroHISCORE² 3D installation CD into your CDROM drive and click on the button [next]. Windows 98: Choose again [next]. Mark the CDROM option and go on with [next]. II.5 You are asked to insert the disk named 'Drivers for miroHISCORE & miroHISCORE² 3D Accelerator'. Confirm with [OK]. Windows tells you that it failed to find a neccessary file (3dfx.dll). Select the [Browse...] button and go into the "Win95" directory under the drive letter of your miroHISCORE² 3D installation CD. Confirm with [OK]. II.6 Windows copies all driver files to the harddisk. Finally you have to restart Windows. Important hints on the installation of the files from the Patches directory which is included on the miroHISCORE² 3D CD. ------------------------------------------------------------------- These game patches are special extensions, which improve the image quality and the graphics performance of the games. If there is a special handling required for installing a patch, you will find a readme.txt file in the apropriate directory. These patches were provided by the game manufacturers. For this reason we cannot offer any support, if problems arise. V. Known problems: -------------------- V.1 Combining S3 boards of the 868/968 generation and 3Dfx boards may cause address conflicts. This problem occurs with all S3 Vision 868/968 graphics boards. A patch on this CD will solve this problem. V.2 Although the miroPINBOARD shows only one installed miroHISCORE board in the information page under NT, SLI mode is supported under NT with two miroHISCORE² boards. VI. Simultanious use of miroHISCORE and one or two miroHISCORE² boards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- With this 2.0 drivers, you may use both hardware components at once in your system. You have to reinstall simply both drivers (Voodoo1 & 2) from this CD for that. After that you are able to switch between this two boards with the miroPINBOARD. Select the HISCORE / HISCORE² property page and select the "change Voodoo1 and Voodoo2" option. This provides you the 100% Voodoo1 compability.. Scanline interleaving (SLI) is not possible with a mixed system (Voodoo1 and Voodoo2), but you are able to use SLI with two Voodoo2 boards and add another Voodoo1 board into the system. VII. Hardware tuning ----------------------- You are able to chage the memoryclock of your hardware on the fly in your miroPINBOARD with the "Change on the fly" option. If you encounter some kind of grizzling pixes ont he display, you can try to eliminate this with the "finetuning" option. If this will not change anything, you shoud reduce the clock. ATTENTION: If you choose a too high frequency, the system may crash. Your miroMEDIA GmbHDownload Driver Pack
