Install Windows NT by following the manufacturer's installation procedure. 2. Double click on the My Computer icon when the installation is complete to bring up the My Computer window. 3. Double click on the Control Panel icon to bring up the Control Panel window. 4. Double click on the Display icon to bring up the Display Properties window. 5. Click on the Settings tab to bring the Settings page of the Display Properties window to the front. 6. Click on the [ Display Type] button to bring up the Display Type window. 7. Click on the [Change] button in the Adapter Type section of this window to bring up the [Change Display] window. 8. Click on the [Have Disk] button to bring up th [Install From Disk] window. Follow the instructions in this window for inserting the diskette containing the driver into the selected diskette drive and then click on the [OK] button to bring up another Select Device window. 9. Insure that "Avance Logic,INC. ALGXXXX(your display type)" is highlighted for your display in the [Change Display] window and then click on the [OK] button. The [Third-parties Driver] window will appear and click on "Yes" to proceed. The [Installation Driver] window will appear and click on "OK" to reboot in order for the changes to take effect. Close all windows and click on "Yes" for the system to reboot in the [System Settings Change] window. 10. To change display setting, double click on the Display icon to bring up the [Display Properties] window. 11. Click on the Settings tab to bring the Settings page of the [Display Properties] window to the front. 12. Select desired resolution, color, or/and font size from "Color Palette", " Desktop Area" or/and "Font size" sections of the [Display Properties] window. 13. Click on "Test" button to see if your selected mode has been properly on the screen. 14. Click on the "Apply" button in the [Display Properties] window to activate the new settings. Case 2: Windows NT is installed on the system and a video card other than an Avance Logic video card is installed on the system motherboard. Note: It is recommend that the video mode be set to Standard VGA before beginning this installation. 1. Power of the system, remove the existing video card, and install the Avance Logic video card. 2. Double click on the My Computer icon when the installation is complete to bring up the My Computer window. 3. Double click on the Control Panel icon to bring up the Control Panel window. 4. Double click on the Display icon to bring up the Display Properties window. 5. Click on the Settings tab to bring the Settings page of the Display Properties window to the front. 6. Click on the [ Display Type] button to bring up the Display Type window. 7. Click on the [Change] button in the Adapter Type section of this window to bring up the [Change Display] window. 8. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
