                             Hint

---------------------------------------------------------------------
- CD-ROM for Windows NT4.0 is required for installing the Windows
NT 4.0 PPD. Such Files as PSCRIPT.DLL and others which are
necessary for installing the Windows NT 4.0 PPD are in the i386
  folder inside the CD-ROM.

- Some light colored lines and/or slim lines might not be printed
(or invisible). At that time, please change the color of the line
darker or make the line thicker.

- When you use the watermark with non-resident font, the watermark
might not be printed properly. At that time, please use resident
  font for watermark.

- If the setting "collate" exists in the print dialog box or
application's print settings, do not select this setting.
This setting is not necessary because this printer always performs
collated printing. If this setting is selected, two-sided printing
or stapling with multiple prints may not be performed properly.

- When you want to do Booklet printing with any application and if
the application has the paper size setting, please select Booklet
from the paper size selection of the application. When you select
the Booklet at printer property dialog box, Booklet feature might
  not be done properly.

- When you are using Windows PCL printer driver with some
applications such as Adobe FreeHand, watermark might not be
printed even if you have set to print watermark in printer driver.

- Please don't register more than 30 original watermarks with
Windows PCL printer driver on Windows NT4.0. If you do so, the
Windows might be unstable. If your Windows fell into such a
  status, please do following instructions:
    1) Quit the application by force using "Ctrl+Alt+Del".
    2) Delete the file "C:\WinNT\Swwater.ini". (The file path
"C:\WinNT" may vary depending on system configuration.)
With above instruction, all of the original watermarks will be
eliminated but the driver come back to work properly.

- With some applications such as Lotus Approach97 if you select
"Download fonts" as the font source and select "Download as bit
image" as the TrueType Mode in font dialog, shrieked font might
be printed. At that time, please use resident font or select
"Download as TrueType" as the TrueType Mode.

- With some applications such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, Adobe
Photoshop or Corel Draw, some extra features of Windows PS
printer driver such as Watermark or N-up might not work properly.
At that time, please turn the check off of "PS Path-through"
in "Advanced" tab of printer property dialog.

- When you use Microsoft Notepad or Paintbrush on Windows 3.1x,
it is impossible to print with Windows PS printer driver.
Please use Windows PCL printer driver.

- Custom size paper is not supported with Windows PS printer
driver of this version. Please use Windows PCL printer driver
  to use custom size paper.

- Negative Image feature does not work properly with multiple pages
original. Please use with single page original.

- "Blank Pages After Novell Job" turn off the network setting on
