PCM20 Enabler for I/O addresses between 240 and 3F0 under Windows 98

When using the PCM20 under Windows 98 the operating system may locate
this device at a location that is not acceptable certain drivers
or applications (for example Opto22's Factory Floor software).
The enabler driver contained here will place the I/O base address
of the PCM20 between 240 and 3F0 (hex).

If you have already installed your PCM20 using the
enabler disk provided with the product de-insert the
PCM20 from your system and replace the pcm20.vxd file on your system
with the one provided here. When you reinsert your PCM20 it's base
I/O address should be between 240 and 3F0 (hex).

If you have not already installed your PCM20 take the pcm20.vxd
and pcm20.inf files provided here and place them onto a blank
floppy disk. Then follow the loading instructions found below.

The DOS utility findpcm20.exe can be used to find the base I/O address
of your PCM20.

PCM20 Enabler for Windows 95/98 Loading Instructions:

1.) Place all of these files onto one floppy disk.

2.) Plug in your PCM20 PCMCIA card.

3.) If the 'New Hardware Found' dialog is shown, select the 'Driver
from a disk provided by hardware manufacturer' option, insert the disk
you created in step 1 and press 'OK'. If the 'Update Device Driver Wizard'
dialog is shown then insert the disk you created in step 1 and follow
    the instructions provided by Windows.

4.) Provide the system with the location of this floppy drive when
    prompted (e.g.'A:/').

5.) The driver should now be loaded. Reboot the machine if Windows requests
    this to be done.

6.) Now proceed to the Windows Control Panel. Double click the System icon.
Choose the Device Manager tab. Select the 'View devices by type' option.

7.) There should be an 'PCM20'category displayed.
Double click this category and you should see a 'PCM20' device
    listed. Double click this device.

8.) Now choose the resources tab. Deselect the 'Use automatic settings'
box. You can now modify your PCM20's resource settings (I/O range
and Interrupt request). After modifying these parameters press 'OK'.
You may then be prompted with a warning, press 'Yes' to continue.

9.) Your PCM20 should now be accessible at the I/O and Interrupt settings
    you selected in step 11.

10.) To confirm proper settings the enabler disk also contains two DOS utilities:
irqtest.exe (to test the I/O and interrupt selections) and netmap.exe
(to test the ability of your PCM20 to communicate with an ARCNET network).
This utilities can also be found on our website (http://www.ccontrol.com).
