This release of the BIOS corrects problems associated with the Colorado Memory Systems tape backup unit (GW Part #250TBU, 250TBU1) and BIOS revision 4.04.6. It also corrects anomalies with the User security settings. DESCRIPTION OF FILES AND THEIR FUNCTIONS ---------------------------------------- read1st.txt this file batip2.rom new bios file phlash.exe flash application phlash.ini configuartion settings autoexec.bat activates the application automatically The rest of the files on this diskette are used by phlash.exe: build.map buildid.lst devtbls.dat diff.out nutools.lst nvram.lst sourcid.lst COMPONENT USE LISTING --------------------- These files can be used on the following revisions of the Gateway 2000 P4D system boards: GW Part #'s MBDPCI001AAWW, MBDPCI001ABWW, MBDPCI002AAWW. Use of this BIOS upgrade on any other revision of the P4D system board will result in damage to the flash chip! INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THESE FILES ----------------------------------------- Flash BIOS upgrades can only be perfrom from a bootable DOS diskette. 1. Create a bootable diskette from Windows File Manager or from a "C" prompt. Ex.: C:\> SYS A: 2. Copy ALL the files included with this file to the diskette. 3. Insert diskette into drive A and reboot system. 4. The upgrade program will run automatically.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
