Nov. 28, 1995  GAT4ip2 (MBDPCI008AxWW) BIOS Recovery Procedure
BIOS Version GAT2 4.04.I

1) Run CRISDISK.BAT from DOS, this will create a BIOS recovery disk in 
drive A:(1.44MB). The files are copied to particular tracks and sectors.
2) After it formats the disk do not enter a volume label, just hit the
return key.
3)When all the files are copied and the Crisis disk has been successfully
created, remove the disk and install it into drve A: (1.44) of the 
machine that needs the BIOS recovered.
4) With the power turned off remove the lid from the case and move J35 to
the 1-2 position. The jumper is located towards the thick end of the 
processor socket and is the third one from the left.
5) Power up the system and there should be one long and two short beeps
followed by the drive A: light turning on.
6) After approximately one and a half minutes there should be a series of
high beeps then low beeps and then a high/low beep. It's done!
7) Turn the power off, remove the recovery disk, reset J35 to the 2-3
position, and replace the lid.
Note: If the power is not turned off the process will repeat.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
