Before updating your system BIOS be sure to read the following.

1. Preparing your system
2. Copying the files
3. Performing the update


Preparing your system.

Note:
Before you update your bios you should enter the current Bios and write down the settings.

1. Before you can update your bios, you must first prepare a disk.

In Windows 9X , insert the floppy into the A drive.
Double click My Computer
Right Click once on the 3 ½ Floppy (A:) icon and select Format.
Under Format Type select Full, under Other options select copy system files, the press the Start button.
When the format is complete a Format Results box will appear, Press Close.
Press Close to exit the Format window.

       	The disk is now bootable.

2.     Copying the files

        Create a Bios directory on your hard drive, and copy the bios file to that directory.
        Double Click on the file to expand it.
        Copy all of the files EXCEPT the .exe file to your diskette.

   	    The disk is now ready.


3.     Performing the update

Reboot the computer with the diskette in the A:\ drive.

The Intel Flash Memory Update utility screen will appear.

Press <enter> to continue

The Main Menu will appear, Press <enter>

If the selection <Update System Bios> is not highlighted, select it and press <enter>.

Press the down arrow one time to select the .bio file. Press <enter>

The Please Confirm Bios Information page appears, to continue press <enter>

The bios update screen will appear. When the bios is finished the Main Menu will appear.

Remove the floppy disk and press <enter> to reboot the system.

The flash is complete.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
