Before updating your system BIOS be sure to read the following. 1. Preparing your system 2. Copying the files 3. Performing the update Preparing your system. NOTE: The BIOS update utility will load default settings in all the fields accessible with the BIOS setup utility. If you made changes to the current BIOS setup fields and wish to retain the settings in those fields, then perform the following steps before proceeding with the BIOS update: Reset the system and enter the BIOS setup utility by pressing the F1 key Write all the Custom Bios setup values that you custom setup so you can manually change back the custom setup values after the Bios update completed. 1. Before you can update your bios, you must first prepare a disk. Make a bootable floppy diskette. 2. Copying the files Create a "Bios" directory on your hard drive, and copy the bios file to that directory. Double Click on the file to expand it. Copy all of the files to the bootable floppy disk. The disk is now ready. 3. Performing the update Reboot the computer with the diskette in the A:\ drive. The BIOS update utility will automatically perform the following steps in sequence: a. Update the boot block portion of the BIOS b. Update the system BIOS c. Reset all CMOS settings to default values d. Restart the system to activate changes NOTE: remove the BIOS update disk from the floppy drive after the BIOS update utility resets the system. 4. The BIOS update process is now complete. If changes need to be made to any of the BIOS setup fields, reset the system and enter the BIOS setup utility by pressing the F1 key and make any necessary changes. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
