This BIOS update is for Pentium Pro Motherboards. 


To identify whether this is the correct BIOS file for your computer, follow these steps.

If the computer is off:
1.  Turn on the computer and start pressing the F1 key.  Doing this makes the computer enter the BIOS Setup Utility.

2.  In the BIOS Setup Utility, look at the bottom for the BIOS version.  It should read 1.00.xx.CS1T (xx=curent version)

3.  If this is correct, then you have the correct BIOS update.

If the computer is in Windows:
1.  Locate and click the Start button. From the Start menu, click Shut Down.

2.  In the Shut Down Windows dialog box, select Restart, and then click OK.

4.  As soon as the screen turns black, start pressing F1.  Doing this makes the computer enter the BIOS Setup Utility.

5.  In the BIOS Setup Utility, look at the bottom for the BIOS version.  It should read 1.00.xx.CS1T (xx=curent version)

6.  If this is correct, then you have the correct BIOS update.


Installation steps are below.

Before updating your BIOS Setup Utility, be sure to read the following.

1.  Before you can update your BIOS Setup Utility, you must first prepare a disk.

 a.  In Windows 9x, insert the floppy disk.
 b.  Locate and double-click the My Computer icon.
 c.  In the My Computer window, select the Floppy drive (A:) icon, and then from the File menu, click Format.
 d.  In the Format dialog box, Under Format Type select Full, select the copy system files check box and then click Start.
 e.  When the format is complete, in the Format Results dialog box, click Close.
 f.  In the Format window, click Close.

2. Copying the files is next.

 a.  Create a BIOS directory on your hard disk, and copy the 7504009.exe file to that directory.
 b.  Double-click the file to expand it.
 c.  Copy all of the files EXCEPT the 7504009.exe file to your floppy disk.

3. Performing the update

Note: Before updating the BIOS, you should enter the current BIOS and write down the settings.

 a.  Restart the computer with the floppy disk in the drive.
 b.  In the Intel Flash Memory Update Utility screen, press the ENTER key.
 c.  In the Main Menu screen, press the DOWN ARROW key and select Update Flash Memory area from a file, and then press ENTER.
 d.  In the Update Flash Area screen, select Update System BIOS, and then press ENTER.
 e.  In the Enter Path\Filename screen, press the DOWN ARROW to select 1011CS1T.BIO, and then press ENTER.
 f.  In the Please Confirm BIOS Version Information screen, select Continue with Programming, and then press ENTER.
 g.  You will now see a RED screen stating BIOS update in progress DO NOT PRESS ANY KEYS AT THIS POINT.
 h.  After it finishes loading the BIOS, a reboot warning screen appears. Remove the floppy disk and press ENTER.
 i.  The computer restarts. Begin pressing F1 to enter the BIOS Setup Utility.
 j.  In BIOS Setup Utility, verify the new BIOS version. Press the F10 key and then press ENTER to exit saving changes.
 i.  The BIOS update is now complete.


There are no steps for removal.


Troubleshooting suggestions follow:

If you have problems, try downloading the file and running the update again.



The reason for this update is to remedy any problems encountered with current BIOS.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
