 This file is intended for use with all Windows 2000 versions ! Check our site
 at http://www.speedguide.net for tweaking other operating systems, information
 on advanced Regisry editting and all your broadband needs.

 This patch is not intended for use with Windows ME !

 To install the patch, simply double-click the sguide_tweak_2k_pppoe.reg file,
 and the changes will be added to your Registry automatically.

 It is always a good idea to backup your Registry before making changes.
 
 If you'd like to revert the changes that this patch makes to the Registry, you can
 download another patch from our website that will return the Windows 2000 Registry
 to its default state.

 This particular patch adds the optimum TCP/IP Registry values for high speed/high
 latency Internet connections that implement PPPoE, generaly used by some DSL providers,
 
 If your provider does not implement PPPoE, use one of our other patches instead for
 optimum performance.

 Keep in mind that the patch adds extra settings to ensure compatability with different
 systems and setups. It's always best to manually add the necessary entries for your
 connection.

 You need to reboot for changes to take effect.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
