 Software Instructions
=====================================================================

 These instructions describe how to set up the FUJ02B1 Device Driver.

 First Installation:
 
 When first installing the FUJ02B1 Device Driver, be sure to follow
 the instructions under "New Installation Procedures" below.

 Driver Update: 

 When updating a previously installed older version of the FUJ02B1 
 Device Driver, be sure to follow the instructions under "Updating
 Procedures" below. 

 Note: The term "select" in the descriptions is used to represent
 "click the left mouse button on the applicable item". Depending
 upon your computer settings, you may need to read "double-click"
 as "click" in this document.
  
 All procedures should be performed in order from Step 1.

 System Requirements: 

 FUJ02B1 Device Driver V1.23 only supports following operating systems:
 - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic 
 - Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 
 - Microsoft Windows Vista Business 
 - Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate

 New Installation Procedures
=====================================================================

 ATTENTION: In order to install the FUJ02B1 Device Driver, you must
 first log on as the Administrator. 

 * If "User Account Control" appears during installation, click
   [Continue] to proceed with your installation. 

 Step 1. Open the Device Manager according to the following procedure: 

 a) Open the Control Panel by clicking [Start] -> Control Panel.
 b) Click "System and Maintenance" on the Control Panel. 
 c) Under Device Manager, click "Update Device Drivers". 

 Step 2. Under "Other devices" on the Device Manager list, open the
 properties of the unknown device by double-clicking "Unknown device". 

 NOTE: If "Unknown device" is not shown on the list, there is no need
 to install the FUJ02B1 Device Driver. Click the [Cancel] button and
 exit.

 NOTE: If more than one unknown device is listed, process each one
 according to this procedures (starting with Step 2) until 
 installation of the FUJ02B1 Device Driver has been completed. If the
 installation of the FUJ02B1 Device Driver does not appear to install
 even though all the unknown devices have been processed according to
 the procedure (Step 2 and later), there is no need to install the
 FUJ02B1 Device Driver. Click the [Cancel] button and exit. 

 Step 3. Start the Wizard according to the following procedure: 

 a) Select the Driver tab in the Unknown device Properties window.
 b) Select the [Update Driver] button. The Driver Software Update
    Wizard will begin running.

 Step 4. Install the FUJ02B1 Device Driver according to the following
 procedure: 

 a) Select "Browse my computer for driver software".
 b) On the next screen, specify the location where the FUJ02B1 Device
    Driver is stored and click [Next].
 c) If the FUJ02B1 Device Driver is properly detected, installation
    will proceed. When the installation has been completed, click
    [Finish] to close the wizard.

 NOTE: If a message stating "Windows could not find driver software
 for your device" appears, the unknown device that you selected from
 the list of the Device Manager on Step 2 is not the FUJ02B1 Device
 Driver. Click [Cancel] to close the Device Driver Update Wizard.

 If more than one unknown device is listed, process each one
 according to the above procedures (starting with Step 2) until
 installation of the FUJ02B1 Device Driver has been completed. If the
 FUJ02B1 Device Driver is not detected even though all unknown
 devices have been processed, then there is no need to install the
 FUJ02B1 Device Driver. Click the [Cancel] button and exit.

 Updating Procedures
=====================================================================

 ATTENTION: For installation of the FUJ02B1 Device Driver, you must
 first log on as the Administrator.

 * If "User Account Control" appears during installation, click
   [Continue] to continue installation. 

 Step 1. Open the Device Manager according the following procedure: 

 a) Open the Control Panel by clicking [Start] -> Control Panel.
 b) Click "System and Maintenance" on the Control Panel. 
 c) Then, click "Update Device Driver".

 Step 2. In the Device Manager, open the properties of the Fujitsu
 FUJ02B1 device driver by double-clicking "Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device
 Driver" under "System devices".

 NOTE: If "Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device Driver" is not shown, you must
 newly install the Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device Driver according to the
 instructions above in "New Installation Procedures". 

 Step 3. Start the Wizard according to the following procedure:  

 a) Select the Driver tab in the Unknown device Properties window.
 b) Select the [Update Driver] button. The Driver Software Update
    Wizard will begin running.

 Step 4. Update the Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device Driver according to the
 following procedure: 

 a) Select "Browse my computer for driver software".
 b) On the next screen, specify the location where the FUJ02B1 Device
    Driver is stored and click [Next].  
 c) If the FUJ02B1 Device Driver is properly detected, installation
    will proceed. When the installation has been completed, click
    [Finish] to close the wizard.

 NOTE: If a message stating "Windows could not find driver software
 for your device" appears, the unknown device that you selected from
 the list of the Device Manager on Step 2 is not the FUJ02B1 Device
 Driver. Click [Cancel] to close the Device Driver Update Wizard.

 If more than one unknown device is listed, process each one
 according to the above procedures (starting at Step 2) until
 installation of the FUJ02B1 Device Driver has been completed. If
 the FUJ02B1 Device Driver is not detected even though all unknown

 NOTE: If a message stating "Hardware Update Wizard cannot proceed"
 appears, there is no need to update FUJ02B1 Device Driver. Click
 [Finish] to close the Hardware Update Wizard.
