Method #1 using EZ2000.NIF file:

1. Insert the LAN Support diskette into drive A:
2. Execute the install program.
   A:\> DXMAID [Enter]
3. One of the selection item is

      "Do you have driver diskettes?"  [Yes]

   (You can press [Space] to switch no to yes.)

4. After the LAN Support finish copying, type changes as needed to the drive
   and directory for DOS NDIS files:

   (Insert our AR-2000 Series driver diskette into drive A:) For example,
   A:\NDIS\DOS [Enter]

5. The installation procedure will finish after completing file copy.


Method #2 modify configuration files after you have already installed other
NICs.

Follow the instructions below to change the contents of CONFIG.SYS and
PROTOCOL.INI files.

1. Copy EZ2000.DOS to the directory where your IBM LAN Support program resides.

2. Modify the original NDIS device driver statement in CONFIG.SYS as follows:

                DEVICE = [drive]:\path\EZ2000.DOS

3. Modify the PROTOCOL.INI file as follows:

                BINDINGS = EZ200IBM_NIF
                        :
                        :
                [EZ200IBM_NIF]
                    DRIVERNAME = EZ2000$

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
