  Installation files complete.
  Procedure subject to changes in future releases.

2. Prestep

 Copy contents of 'HF000X' archive to folder 'C:\ARCHIVE\DIAMOND'
  Desktop layout configuration set to 'Classic desktop' design.

3. Driver installation 

  Right click desktop icon "Computer"
  Select "Properties"
   Select "Hardware"
    Select "Device Manager"
     Select "Other devices"
      Double click "Network Controller"
       Select "Reinstall Driver..."
       Choose "No, not this time"
       Press "Next"
        Select "Install from a list or..."
        Press "Next"
         Select "Don't search..."
         Press "Next"
          Select "Common hardware types:", "Network adapters"
          Press "Next"
           Press "Have Disk"
            Message "Install From Disk"
            Enter path "C:\ARCHIV\DIAMOND"
            Press "OK"
           Press "Next"
          Press "Finish"
         Press "Close"
        Close window "Device Manager"
       Message window "System Properties"
      Press "OK"

4. Network configuration

  Click right mouse button on desktop icon "Network"
   Select "Properties"
   Click right mouse button on icon "Local Area Connection..."
    Double click left mouse button on "Internet Protocol..."
     Enable "Use the following IP..."
      Enter "IP address :", "192.168.000.001"
      Enter "Subnet mask:", "255.255.255.000"
      Enter "DNS        :", <<< Router default value >>>
      Press "OK"
     Select "Advanced"
      Select "Settings..."
       Select "Off..."
       Press "OK"
      Press "OK"
     Select "Local Area Connection..."
     Choose "Advanced"
      Choose "Network Identification"

      (Description missing, would be 'MYNETWORK')

      Select "Change..."
       Enter "Computer name:", "Local"
       Enter "Workgroup:", "HOMEFREE"
       Press "OK"
      Press "Apply"
      Press "OK"
     Close windows "Network Connections"
    Restart your computer

5. Resource sharing

  Start "Windows Explorer"
   Select "Computer"
   Choose "Tools"
    Choose "View"
     Enable "Use simple file sharing..."
     Press "Apply"

    Click right mouse button on "Local Disk (C:)"
     Choose "Sharing and Security..."
      Press "If you understand..."
       Press "If you understand..."
        Select "Just enable file sharing"
        Press "OK"
       Enable "Share this folder..."
        Enable "Allow network users..."
       Press "Apply"
      Press "OK"
     Close window "Computer"

  Click right mouse button on taskbar 'Start' button
   Select 'Explorer'
    Scroll down 'Folders' windows
     Select 'Network Neighborhood'
      Press refresh key 'F5' a few times to contact available clients

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
