  Getting Started
  ---------------
  First, please refer to the Installation Guide for complete installation
  instructions.  When installing the adapter onto your computer, make sure
  the USB port has Series "A" connector.


  Installation Procedure
  ----------------------
  1.  Plug the Model FA120 USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet Adapter into the USB port of 
      host computer.

  2.  Power on the computer system.After the systen decteced the FA120 ,  
      there will appear a "Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard" window.
      
      And there will appear "This wizard helps you install software for :" 
                       
          ' NETGEAR FA120 Adapter '
      
      System will ask " What do you want the wizard to do ? " make sure 
      that you select 
        
        "Install the software automatically [Recommended]"
      
      While on the same screen, insert the driver CD.
      Click 'Next>'

  3.  A "The driver has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its 
      compatibility with windows XP" window will be displayed, 
      click "Continue Anyway" to continue.

  4.  The system will copy the necessary driver files into your system.

  5.  The driver installation procedure is completed, click "finish".

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
