  Getting Started
  ---------------
  First, please refer to the Installation Guide for complete installation
  instructions.  When installing the adapter onto your computer,make sure
  the USB port has Series "A" connector.

  Installation Procedure
  ----------------------
  1.  Plug the Model FA120 USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet Adapter into the USB port of 
      host computer.

  2.  Power on the computer system.
      There will appear "Windows has found the following new hardware :"
                 
          ' NETGEAR FA120 Adapter '
     
      "What would you like to do ? "  make sure that you select
      
           " Automatic search for a better driver. [Recommended] "  
      
      Click 'Next>'
            
  3.  WINME will find the ' NETGEAR FA120 USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet Adapter ' and
      the system will copy the necessary driver files.
  
  4.  Reboot the system and check into the Device manager to confirm that
      the Model FA120 USB 2.0 Fast Ethernet Adapter is working properly.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
