Welcome Welcome to Infineon TPM Software-Tool "TOOL4TPM". The TPM Test-Tool "TOOL4TPM" is a single file-executable program intended for test, diagnosis and configuration of the Infineon Technologies TPM SLD9630TT1.1. Due to the nature of early stage development test and diagnosis as well as of production line testing the program works under the DOS operating system. For ease of use in development environment, menu driven operation is supported. Command line parameters can be specified for unattended execution in production environments. For further information about TCPA (Trusted Computing Platform Alliance): http://www.trustedpc.org 1.1 Prerequisites PC compatible platforms, MS-DOS 6.0 and later, running from 1,44MB Floppy Disk or HDD. 1.2 Installation Copy TOOL4TPM.EXE to a HDD, where MS-DOS is installed or to a bootable MS-DOS Floppy Disk. 1.3 TPM Software-Tool "TOOL4TPM" TOOL4TPM is operated as follows: Call: tool4tpm <options> options: -menu Shows a selection menu for convenient execution of some predefined TPM commands. Once a menu item is selected, the corresponding operation is executed and the appropriate messages are displayed. The following Menu Items are selectable: 1 - GetTPMInfo Retrieves the TPM Info Manufacturer-Name, Module-Type, Firmware-Version and -Date and the CRC checksum of the ROM-Mask. 2 - TPM_SelfTestFull Performs a complete Selftest of the TPM module according to TCPA Mainspecification and shows the result of the Selftest (passed/failed). 3 - TPM_GetTestresult Shows the detailed result of the TPM Selftest as a manufacturer specific value. 4 - SetPhysicalPresence Execution of the TSC_PhysicalPresence command, setting the Physical Presence flag to "present". 5 - ClearPhysicalPresence Execution of the TSC_PhysicalPresence command, setting the Physical Presence flag to "not present". 6 - TPM_PhysicalEnable Enables the TPM under physical presence. 7 - TPM_PhysicalDisable Disables the TPM under physical presence. 8 - TPM_SHA Performs a complete SHA1 thread with a SHA1_Start, SHA1_Update with 64 Bytes of sample data (constant, program-internal), and a SHA1_Complete. The resulting Hash-Value is displayed. Q - Exit Quits the program. -integrationtest Performs a step-by-step test of the TPM Hardware, starting with enable and configuration of the required address spaces of the PCI chip set, then the TPM is configured and activated and finally a Selftest is performed. Statusmessages are provided to the console after each step and a summary is shown at the end. -productiontest Performs the same tests as the Integrationtest, but continously. A protocol can be created by using the DOS redirection of the output (e.g. tool4tpm -productiontest >tool4tpm.log) -commandfile <cmd_file> <response_file> Transmits a TPM command in a binary <cmd_file> and stores the TPM response in a binary <response_file>. The binary commandfile must contain the plain Bytestream of the desired TPM command, as specified in the TCPA Main Specification. Such files can be created and read by using e.g. a hex-editor or any other utility, which converts between ASCII and Binary files. 2.
