Overview 2. System Requirements 3. Delivery/Installation 4. Supported Standards 5. Known Issues 6. Change History 1. Overview ============ The Infineon(R) TPM Bios Driver for memory present environments is a software module that allows the BIOS to communicate with an Infineon Technologies TPM device. This driver is referenced for a 32-bit PC architecture. This module supports the following functions: - Initialisation of the communication channel with the TPM device. - Data transport between the HOST and the TPM. - Read the status information from the TPM device. For additional information about the interface and the handling please use the TCPA-PC-Specific Implementation Specification v1.00 RC1 also. 2. System Requirements ====================== This driver serves a implementation reference for the 32-bit PC architecture. 3. Delivery/Installation ======================== - Readme.txt (this file) - TpmMpDrv.rom (folder Seg32Drv) (TPM-Memory-Present-Driver-Image-File 32Bit segment version) On request: - TpmMpDrv.rom (folder Seg16Drv) (TPM-Memory-Present-Driver-Image-File 16Bit segment version) - DrvInOut.inc (in folder IncDrv) Global interface constants/strucs for the TPMMADrv and TPMMPDrv driver library - RetCodes.inc (in folder IncDrv) Return and error codes of the TPMMADrv and TPMMPDrv driver library 4. Supported Standards ====================== - TCPA-PC-Specific Implementation Specification v1.00;v1.2. - TCPA Main Specification v1.1b. (TCPA: Trusted Computing Platform Alliance) (http://www.trustedcomputing.org) - IA-32 Architecture from Intel and AMD (with MMX-Support) - System BIOS for IBM PCs, Compatibles, and EISA Computers 5. Known Issues =============== This section is empty, but will be used in the further as new definition issues are raised. 6. Change History ================= From version v0.30 to v0.50 - rework protocol error handling for invalid data (transport header) package transfer. From version v0.50 to v0.60 - version alignment to TPMMADrv. From version v0.60 to v0.70 - review and improve the timer handling concerning the clock granularity. From version v0.70 to v0.80 - integrate the support for TPM v1.1 and v1.2 device id From version v0.80 to v0.85/v0.90 - integrate new driver project for BigReal-Mode support From version v0.90 to v0.95 - set interrupt selection and type to chip reset values (IRQSEL = 0x00, IRQTYPE = 0x02) if it is disabled (Header-Offset 0x10 = 0xFF) - change byte order for driver image signature (BYTE[2] to WORD) - integrate usage of TPM configuration address header entry according to PC-Client v1.2 (move from v1.1 location (Offset 0x0C) to the changed position in v1.2 (Offset 0x1C)) -------------------------------------------------------------- * Other product and corporate names may be trademarks of other companies and are used only for explanation and to the owner's benefit, without intent to infringe.
