Multiple Choice

9. "Job Storming" thinks if you are unable to plan and stick to a schedule that you may lack self-discipline. A free-spirited individual may be very self-disciplined. But lacking self-discipline is quite an ordinary "disease." Fortunately, you can be your own doctor for this ailment!

10. "Job Storming" believes if you want a job, you will probably find someone to hire you; the time to work; and transportation. Teen-agers should not expect to get jobs that pay well above the minimum wage. Most jobs will pay at about the minimum wage.

11. "Job Storming" advises you to ask the manager about company policy. Secondhand information may be valid. It may not. The person responsible should have the best information.

Agree/Disagree and Why

12. "Job Storming" disagrees. A good way to prevent problems is to anticipate them. You may not be able to prevent them, even when you see them coming, but at least you can be prepared!

13. "Job Storming" agrees. Let the word out that you want to find a job. People like to help!

14. "Job Storming" agrees. Usually, a person who teases unreasonably (that is, will not stop!) has a problem.

15. "Job Storming" agrees. Asking for a personal interview is a good way to gain practice in job interviewing and may open the door to a job in the future, if not now.

16. "Job Storming" strongly disagrees! Sixteen-year-olds have as much right as an older person to request and receive an interview.

17. "Job Storming" agrees. A girl who wants a job known as a "boy's" job ought to consider why she wants it and how to get it. Then she should go for it.

18. "Job Storming" disagrees. When you don't know a potential employer's level of reaction to things like dotting your "i's" with little circles, take the course of least resistance. Exercise your independence over issues that matter!

19. "Job Storming" disagrees. Human beings, male or female, provide physical care - touching, helping, or serving others. It is a question of concern, not sex.

20. "Job Storming" agrees. Undervaluing the work of waiters, waitresses, and others who serve the public underestimates the requirements of the job.

21. "Job Storming" strongly disagrees. People should not feel ashamed of doing work that needs doing.

22. "Job Storming" disagrees. Information on an application about outside activities IS a good idea. It makes you an individual.

23. "Job Storming" agrees. Neatness is more important than fashion when you apply for a job.

24. "Job Storming" disagrees. Whether you quit a job you like or one you don't like, leave with as many good feelings behind you as you can. You don't have to lie, just stick with a simple explanation.

25. "Job Storming" agrees! If you take pride in your work there is a good chance that others will respect you for it. Try it!
