Fall Feelings

Read a verse and write a verse. Just follow the pattern and think of an object, animal, person, and how it/she/he feels!

Leaf

If I were a leaf
In fall I'd feel
Like an acrobat
Spinning a cartwheel.

If I were a leaf
In fall I'd feel
Like < >
< >

Pheasant

Or, if it was fall
And I was a pheasant
To venture near hunters
I would feel hesitant.

Or, if it was fall
And I was a < >
< >
I would feel < >

Moose

Still, in the fall if
His nostrils a-sniff
A moose passed near me
Probably, I'd flee!

Still, in the fall
< >
< > me
I < >

Deer

Without a doubt a deer
In fall, his antlers furry,
Feels a need inside his tummy
And fills it up in a hurry!

Without a doubt < >
In fall, < >
Feels a need < >
< >

Me

Yet in fall, just me myself
Feels the season's
Changes
Rhythms
Colors
Hymns
Me!

< >

Yet in fall, just < >
feels < >
< >
< >
< >
< >

====================

Give each of your verses a title.

You could make a book of your fall feelings. You might call your book My Seasons Book or My Fall Calendar or ... whatever you like. Will you share your fall feelings book? Somebody will want to read it.

Extra!

Think about one particular fall day. How did you feel? Glad? Sad? Gloomy? Excited? Anxious? Why? What happened? Did your feelings change throughout the day? What did you learn?

If you don't remember how you felt on any particular fall day, interview a friend.

Then, write a paragraph about your feelings or how your friend felt on a particular fall day.
