To write a simile poem, you can take a theme -- "I" in this case -- and make all your similes relate to that theme.

I am like a ghost in a haunted house.
I am like a book that has never been read.
I am like a map that has been torn.
I am like a person who is always me.
I am like a house with no windows or doors.
I am like a paper that has never been used.
I'm like a person without a poem.

You may want to take one image and develop it. Images that work well are tree, sky, river, ocean, raindrop, snowflake, house, city, friend, book, poem.... Maybe you can think of some others. Here is an example, all focused upon a house:

I am like a house no one visits.
I am as broken as a house with shattered windows.
I am as happy as a house with new blue paint.
I am as sad as a house with a broken floor.
I am as carefree as a house with the sun shining in.
I am as lazy as a house with an unmowed lawn.
I am as silly as a house full of monkeys.
I am as wise as a house alone on a hill.
