Name: < > Class: < > Date: < > Things to Know About Sentence Combining To Combine Sentences: - Rearrange words, - Add and drop words, - Add endings to words, and - Do include all the ideas of the original sentences. Sentence Length: Writing is made up of long and short sentences. Often, an important idea can stand alone in a short sentence to get more attention. Ways to Combine: Related ideas can be combined with connectors that show their relationship. For example: Sequence or Time: and, when, then, after, before, while, whenever, during, ing verbs, until, if Cause and Effect since, because, so that, if/then Comparison: although, even though, though, however, while, as much as, on the other hand, but, either/or, neither/nor Some of the connecting words above are those we called because words: when, after, before, while, whenever, during, since, because, if, although, even though, though These words behave the same way when they connect two related sentences. They can appear in two different places in a combined sentence. For example: If you dawdle over breakfast, you'll be late for school. (Please notice the comma!) Or: You'll be late for school if you dawdle over breakfast. (Please notice that there is no comma!) Describing Words: 1. who, whom, which, that, whose That words example: I love pizza that is gooey and messy! Who is used to replace people words. For example: We looked for the man. That man had our umbrella. Combined might become: We looked for the man who had our umbrella. Which is used to replace only non-people words. For example: Pepperoni pizza is my favorite. It has the spiciest flavor of all. Combined might become: Pepperoni pizza, which is my favorite, has the spiciest flavor of all. 2. Inserting a describing word from one sentence into another. For example: I love that pizza. That pizza is gooey. That pizza is messy. Combined becomes: I love that gooey, messy pizza! If you haven't done so already, name and save this file now. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
