Theft Form

Imagine you have had a personal item of some value stolen. Think of a good story about the item and when, where, and how the theft occurred. Outline, make notes, or write down the story in paragraph form. Be sure to think through the entire crime because the next thing you will do is fill out a theft report form like one you would turn in to the police in the event of an actual theft.

====================

Reread your description of "the crime." Have you included a description of the stolen item and what time of day it was stolen? Was your crime witnessed by anyone? If so was there anything distinctive about the thief that will help in identifying him/her?

If you wish to make any additions to your story, do so now. Then fill out the Theft Report Form provided as a handout. When you have completed the form return to this file and answer the questions that follow.
