Think about people in your life. On occasion, even people who try to act and speak honestly, may say something insincere. But, do you know someone who makes a habit of being insincere? Give a few examples that show his or her habit of being insincere:

* Being sincere helps us to know and to trust ourselves.

Note: If you have a habit of being insincere, you may be acting out of fear. You may be afraid to say what you think or feel. Or, you may place too little value on being honest. Pretending to be someone you are not can cause pain to yourself and to others. Trusting ourselves to speak and act, honestly, helps us feel good about ourselves.

Lifelong Hint:
For the most part, we do not have control over how others act. And we cannot always help how we feel. We can try to control how we act. How we act helps us feel good or bad about ourselves.
