Close Control Panel. Registry Settings The driver behavior depends upon the way it has been configured. This configuration mechanism is possible by registry settings. Given below are the registry settings that change the behavior of the driver. DDCEnabled This option enables the driver to query the monitor for the best-supported resolutions. This will be disabled automatically if flatpanel supported requested. By default this option is enabled. PanelSupport This option enables the driver to output on to flatpanel instead of CRT (default). This option only configures the output as flatpanel and doesn't describe the way the hardware has been initialized. If this option is enabled the DDC query is disabled. By default this option is disabled. PanelInitInBIOS This option enables the driver to use the flatpanel initialization done in the BIOS. Here the BIOS is queried to find out the supported flatpanel resolution. This option needs the PanelSupport option to be enabled. This option overrides the Platform option. By default this option is enabled. Platform This option enables the driver to use the flatpanel initialization done by the driver. Here the hardware is queried to find out the supported flatpanel resolution. The jumper settings on the board dictate the desired resolution and works only on National Development Platforms. The NSC Boards supported today are Centaurus and Dorado Platforms ONLY. This option needs the PanelSupport option to be enabled, for this option to be used disable PanelInitInBIOS. The default value is "0". ________________________ |Platform | Value | |----------------------| |Centaurus | 0 | |Dorado | 1 | ------------------------ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- BUILD INSTRUCTIONS ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Windows 2K Driver Build Instructions 1. The updated codecs can be downloaded from www.ligos.com. During the Video test in either version of WinBench there were problems with the playback of 3 AVI files even with the updated codec and only when they were played at 100% zoom on the Centaurus platform. The files are as follows: cp640s9.avi in640s9.avi i4640s9.avi The corrupted video playback is only seen when any of these three files are played at 100% zoom. All other zoom levels playback correctly. No other AVI files that were run showed the playback corruption. * 110.35 WinBench 99 Video Tests fail in 640x480 and 800x600 When WinBench 99 Version 1.0 or 1.2 video test is run in 640x480 or 800x600 at 75Hz refresh rate there is video corruption seen on the screen. The failures are as follows: The following cases fail in 800x600x8 @ 75 Hz and 800x600x16 @ 75Hz Video/Action, Cinepak, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, Indeo 3.2, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S, Zoomed During the above two cases the screen is spilt in two with the video playing in both screens. The left half of the screen is slightly behind the right half and the left half is obscured by horizontal black lines. Video/Action, Indeo 4.1, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S, Zoomed This case exhibits the same failure as above but now the only colors showing are shades of blue and green lines obscure the left half. Video/Action, MPEG-1, 352x240, 30fps, 150 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, MPEG-1, 352x240, 30fps, 300 KB/S, Zoomed During these last two cases there is a pink line running across the top of the screen. The following cases fail in 640x480x8 @75 Hz and 640x480x16 Video/Action, Cinepak, 320x240, 30fps, 300 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, Indeo 3.2, 320x240, 30fps, 300 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, Indeo 4.1, 320x240, 30fps, 300 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, MPEG-1, 352x240, 30fps, 150 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, MPEG-1, 352x240, 30fps, 300 KB/S, Zoomed During the above cases the left 1/4 of the screen has horizontal black lines and there is a white line across the top of the screen. Video/Action, Cinepak, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S Video/Action, Indeo 3.2, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S Video/Action, Indeo 4.1, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S Video/Action, Cinepak, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, Indeo 3.2, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S, Zoomed Video/Action, Indeo 4.1, 640x480, 30fps, 900 KB/S, Zoomed During the above cases the left 3/4 of the screen is a mass of green and blue dots. These issues were not seen when any video files that were played with Windows MediaPlayer including the files that showed corruption in WinBench. *Notes 1. Overfly fails YVYU surface type at any resolution and color depth When the Overfly test is run from DCT 300 or HCT 9.52 the YVYU surface test fails at all resolution and color depths on all platforms. This is due to the Overfly test not supporting the YVYU mode even though the mode shows up in the program as a testable mode. This was orginally seen in issue 110.15 - Overfly YVYU surface type is corrupt in 640x480 & 800x600 2. Video playback at 1280x1024x16bpp Multimedia videos (AVI, MPEG, MOV) cannot be displayed at 1280x1024x16bpp due to hardware limitation. The system uses all 4MB of RAM allocated to the graphics adapter, causing the media player to fail. ============================================================================== 08/30/01 Version 5.05.4.1030 Dependencies Durango : 2.33.01 DDC Library : 1.0.3o Panel Library : 1.2.4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ FUNCTIONAL CHANGES ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Upgraded to work with WIN XP RC1.
