1. Release notes
----------------
This is release for the Gemplus GemPC410 Serial Smart Card Reader
The driver support Plug and Play Reader Pnp Serenum\GEM0410
And compatible GemCore PC-link Reader.



2. GrSerial Driver Installation
-------------------------------

To install it:

 - Right click on file named GRSERIALNT4.INF
 - Select Install option in the menu.
 - Power off your computer.
 - Plug your smart card reader.
 - Reboot.

4 - Notes for users
-------------------


Following is a list of known issues.

 - It is really important to install smclib.exe if you have used
   scbase.exe to install the Microsoft Smart Card Base Components.

 - This driver will not support plug'n play requests nor power
   management.  This is a limitation of Windows NT4 and Microsoft's
   Smart Card Resource Manager.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
