1. Release notes
----------------
This is release for the Gemplus GemPC410 Serial Smart Card Reader
The driver support Plug and Play Reader Pnp Serenum\GEM0410
And compatible GemCore PC-link Reader.



2. GemPC410 Driver Install
--------------------------

Download the latest driver to diskette from the Gemplus Developer's Web site.

1)  First Connect your reader as show in the Reader box package.

2) Start your computer, Or start Refresh button in the device manager console, 
At Windows Wizard hardware setup, Select Installation recommended.


3) Verify is Device identification match with this product.

4) Select floppy driver, or browse to the driver files location.

5)  Select GEMPLUS GemPC410 Serial Card Reader, and click Next.
The Wizard is ready to install the driver, click Next.

6)  Click Finish to close the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard.


Note: To update Driver, follow those step below:
------------------------------------------------

1)  Open the Device Manager in Windows.

2)  Double-click Gemplus GemPC410 Serial Smart Card Reader from the smart card readers group.

3)  Select the Driver tab, and click Update Driver.

4)  Click Next.

5)  Select "Display a list of the known drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver", and click Next.

6)  Click "Have Disk..."

7)  Type A:\ and insert the diskette, then click OK.

8)  Select GEMPLUS GemPC410 Serial Card Reader, and click Next.
The Wizard is ready to install the driver, click Next.

(version Hot Fix Only)
Windows 2000, XP users will get a message "Digital Signature Not Found", select Yes to continue the upgrade.

9)  Click Finish to close the Upgrade Device Driver Wizard.

4 - Notes for users
-------------------

To uninstall the device:
- In device manager, Select the reader in Smart card Group and click on Uninstall.
