The CompactFlash 10 Ethernet LAN Card provides the capability 
for any Windows CE to connect to a Local Area Network (LAN).


***Note: This driver file is for Windows CE 2.0, 2.11 that has no build-in Network functions only. Please use the build-in "NE2000 Compatible Ethernet Driver" for Windows CE 3.0 and above.

<> Included Drivers
The drivers in the CF10_CE2NoNet.exe supports "MIPS" and "SH3" for Windows CE 2.0, 2.11
that comes without build-in Network function. After driver installation, the Network
function will be added in the Control Panel.


<> How to Install Drivers:
(For Handhelds that already have Network function, please start from Step 3)

   Step 1. Connect your Host PC to your Handheld via the serial cable by 
	   selecting Start/Programs/Communication/PC Link.
   Step 2. Run CF10_CE2NoNet.exe to install CompactFlash 10 Ethernet LAN Card drivers.
   Step 3. Network Configuration Setup (see below).
   Step 4. Insert CompactFlash 10 Ethernet LAN Card to Handheld.
   Step 5. Reset Handheld to initiate the Network function.



<> CompactFlash 10 Ethernet LAN Card Network Configuration Setup:
   A. Using static IP Address:
        Step 1. Tap Start->Settings->Control Panel->Network icon.
        Step 2. Make sure "NE2000 Compatible Ethernet Driver" is highlighted.
        Step 3. Tap on Properties.
        Step 4. Under the IP Address tab, make sure the "Specify an IP
                address" radio button is selected.
        Step 5. Key in IP Address & Subnet Mask & Default Gateway addresses.
        Step 6. Tap the Name Servers tab.
        Step 7. Key in DNS and WINS addresses, if necessary.

   B. Using DHCP:
        Step 1. Tap Start->Settings->Control Panel->Network icon.
        Step 2. Make sure "NE2000 Compatible Ethernet Driver" is highlighted.
        Step 3. Tap on Properties.
        Step 4. Under the IP Address tab, make sure the "Obtain an IP address
                via DHCP" radio button is selected.
        Step 5. Tap the Name Servers tab.
        Step 6. Key in DNS and WINS addresses, if necessary.

NOTE:
* In rare cases, Windows CE might prompts you with an "Unknown Device" dialog box,
  please type in "ne2000.dll" as the driver name.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
