Date 16-Sep-1996 ================================================================================ Using the WATCOM IDE for Windows -------------------------------- The XVL Library DLLs have been successfully linked with applications compiled with the WATCOM C/C++ development tools in Windows 3.1. This note describes how to make an application using the Interactive Development Environment (IDE). Example: Making WDEMO in Windows 3.1 for the XPG-1000. 1. Copy the WDEMO files to a temporary directory. 2. Run the Watcom C/C++ IDE. 3. Menu _File, select _New Project Name WDEMO.WPJ. Select 16-bit Windows 3.x. 4. Menu _Sources, select _New Source. In the dialog box, press Browse... Select: *.c *.def *.h *.ico *.ini *.rc 5. Menu _Sources, select _New Source. In the dialog box, press Browse... Select: ... watcom\binw\commdlg.dll ... xvl\pc\lib\wxpgmlib.dll 6. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
