Install Sequence for NT Device Driver : DPGrab.sys -------------------------------------------------- This driver was tested under Windows NT v4.0 only at this time. The driver supports the XPG ISA/VL, XPG-PCI, and FPG-PCI products. Installation : -------------- 1) The NT driver is installed automatically during the XVL Software Product installation. Both the CDROM and Floppy disk install procedures copy the driver to the Windows NT System32\Drivers directory. After installing the XVL Software Product, change the default directory to %DIPXPG%\pc\SetupDPG . (Here, %DIPXPG% is the environment variable that points to the base directory where the XVL Software is installed). 2) In this directory you will find the following files : a) SetupDPG.exe : Setup program for Power Grabbers. b) ms*.dll : Six dll files used by SetupDPG.exe These files provide facilities for Installation of a new driver or for Reconfiguration of an existing driver. 3) New Driver Installation : Run the SetupDPG.exe program. An input box asks how many ISA Power Grabber boards are to be installed. If no ISA boards are present, enter 0 here. Otherwise, enter the number of ISA boards to be installed. Follow the setup programs instructions and specify the I/O addresses and IRQs to be assigned to each ISA Power Grabber device. On completion of the install, the system will be rebooted. 4) Reconfiguration of an Existing Driver An existing driver needs to be reconfigured only if XPG-ISA/VL devices are either added to the system or have their base addresses modified (via jumpers) following the initial driver installation. Run the SetupDPG program as detailed in Step 3 and enter the updated values for the number of ISA boards, their I/O addresses, and the IRQs assigned to them. On completion of this reconfiguration, the system will be rebooted. 5) Updating an Existing Driver with the New Release The new NT driver is copied to the Windows NT System32\Drivers directory during the XVL Software Product update installation. Simply reboot the system to start using the new driver. (NOTE : If you were previously using the XVL Software on Windows NT using the GenPort driver, you MUST DISABLE the GenPort driver using the Devices applet in the Control Panel. )Download Driver Pack
