A driver is required for the NT and '95 operating systems. If you are running the XVL library installation program now a dialog will appear for you to provide information about the boards you have. If you have previously installed a Dipix Power Grabber driver (of same or older version), the information you provided before will be shown as a default. See also the special sections below for: - ISA Bus Power Grabbers - Windows '95 users If you need further information about our drivers then check the following files. The appropriate one for your computer will be displayed in your text editor shortly: For Windows NT: %DIPXPG%/PC/DRIVERS/NT/NTDRIVER.TXT For Windows 95: %DIPXPG%/PC/DRIVERS/W95/INSTAL95.TXT ISA BUS Power Grabbers ONLY =========================== PCI boards are automatically detected however you must provide information about any ISA bus Power Grabbers you may have. Ensure that the Interupt (IRQ) values here match the jumper settings on your card. You may also have to enter your system BIOS and indicate that any IRQ you are using for the ISA bus devices is reserved so that the BIOS does not assign it for a PCI device. If you need to re-configure any ISA bus Power Grabbers then you will need to run this program again. It can be found in %DIPXPG%/PC/DRIVERS/SETUPDPG/SETUPDPG.EXE. WINDOWS '95 USERS ONLY ====================== The operating system will prompt you at some point to insert a floppy disk containing the Windows '95 driver for the Power Grabber. If you have a floppy disk with the current driver on it you can use it. Alternately you can specify either of these locations to find the required driver: From the XVL CDROM: [CDROM drive letter]:/XVL320/PC/DRIVERS/W95 Or from your hard disk after the XVL software has been installed on your disk: %DIPXPG%/PC/DRIVERS/W95Download Driver Pack
